Wooden windows: modern solutions
Modern wooden structures are again popular in the construction market, thanks to the improved technology of their production.
They are presented in various models, and are produced in the form of standard systems and windows (Finnish, German).

In order to figure out which window systems to buy for a private house or apartment, you need to know their detailed design.
Structural elements can be presented in several layers, have a certain quality of sashes, special configurations and fittings. What are the constituent elements of wooden windows, what the structure consists of, why you need to know the structure, read in detail in the presented article.
The standard for the cross-section of the material for the frame is 70 x 80 (mm). Sashes most often have dimensions of 60 x 70 (mm). The depth of sealing the glass unit into the timber is 40 (mm). Outside, the windows are protected by aluminum profile strips.
The most popular materials for wooden window construction (see https://chameleon-decorators.co.uk/ for example) are larch, pine and oak. It is worth considering in more detail the main and additional parts.
Frame
Modern frames are made using advanced technology. The element itself is considered the base and the main bearing element of the window, made of profile or glued beams. Externally, the frame resembles a wooden box, which is attached to the window opening by mounting. The dimensions of the presented structural part depend on the opening and are made taking into account the required technical clearances.
The frame is able to withstand certain loads of the weight of the entire structure, so its installation is done with great care. Additionally, especially in brick houses, it is reinforced with high-quality fasteners (for example, anchors). Frames come with sashes and deaf.
In the production process, modern frames are necessarily treated with environmentally friendly substances: antiseptics, as well as adhesive polymer compounds that extend its performance, protect it from destruction and mold. In addition, some formulations are excellent insect repellents.
Sash
This element (Wiki for reference) belongs to the main part, and, like the frame, is made of wood material. There is a wide variety of sash sizes and designs.
Double-glazed windows and glass
The window can be standard for a simple wooden frame (with one or two organic glass), or presented as a modern glass unit, which has good characteristics and reliably protects against noise, dust, frost and precipitation. A double-glazed unit is a construction of several one-piece glasses, which is made only in a production environment.
There are various options for insulating glass units (double, triplex), but each of them contains a molecular sieve that helps prevent the windows from fogging from the inside. Modern double-glazed windows have a high level of energy saving and can serve for more than 15 years.
